Rabbi Markiz is a master educator who opens the world of Talmud and Torah to experienced learners and newcomers. Accessible, engaging and thought-provoking, he fosters conversation and discussion to dive deep into the text. Rabbi Markiz builds community over zoom in an online classroom and combines his technical and Torah knowledge to deliver weekly relevant, compelling and stimulating classes. We had the opportunity to bring him to Cleveland as scholar-in-residence. It was an outstanding weekend of learning for in person and hybrid sessions. He worked closely with our staff to create a weekend of community-building and study. I highly recommend Rabbi Markiz both for a scholar in residence and for online learning sessions.

“Rabbi Jeremy Markiz is an engaging, clear-minded teacher. He is passionate about Jewish education at all levels - from novice to seasoned. I have led a number of interfaith educational courses with Rabbi Markiz and found him to be among my favorite teaching partners because of his enthusiasm and distinctly deep wells of knowledge and experience.”

“Rabbi Markiz is the best Judaic studies teacher I’ve had. He leads a discussion-focused class that is accessible to learners at every level. Everyone, from non-Jews to regular daf learners, comes out of his class with fresh insight into the text and their own lives.”

"Taking a class with Rabbi Jeremy Markiz feels like a cross between an intellectual experience and hanging out with your friends in a cafe. Rabbi Jeremy is extremely well versed and knowledgeable in Torah, and I can tell that he has struggled with the text and issues and isn’t afraid to share his personal thoughts and concerns. He is warm and encouraging, and I always feel free to ask any questions."
